Office 2010 products (word, excel, PP) all "stops working" once I try to click on a file or use the program.  

Can you clarify what you mean by "stops working"? Do you get an error, or do they just go into "Not responding"? If it's the former, what error do you receive? If it's the latter, how long do you leave the application to see if it will recover? Not responding can simply mean that the application is currently busy trying to complete some task, and as such isn't yet in a position to respond to your requests, which isn't the same thing as it no longer functioning. Very often being patient and letting it complete its task is the only remedy since killing it and starting again will only cause that process to have to start again.

I have the same problem. Initial page (where you choose a template) but as soon as you choose a template or open a file the Message "Word has stopped working" appears and it closes. This problem only appears to happen in Word and Excell but not PowerPoint. Help (please)
